| On Tuesday 10th March 2015, Bro Keith Rice was installed as Worshipful Commander of St George Royal Ark Mariner Lodge 553. Attending the meeting representing the Provincial Grand Master was W Bro Derek Horrocks. | |

| W Bro Derek stepped in for W Bro Walter Balmer R.A.M.G.R who unfortunately had a fall a few days prior to the Installation. | |
| The Installing Commander was W Bro Barry Elman R.A.M.G.R, who has been a close friend to Bro Keith throughout his time in the Mark degree. | |

| Both brethren are “old boys” of the Liverpool Institute, and members of Garston Mark 942 they are proud of the connection between their Old School and Freemasonry. | |
| W Bro Derek congratulated the brethren of the lodge for an excellent ceremony, and noted that all members on the ladder to the chair have not had that privilege before. Although not a small lodge there is a definite feeling of closeness amongst the brethren. | |
| The Worshipful Commander sends good wishes on hope for a speedy recovery to W Bro Walter Balmer. | |
| The festive board was as usual for Garston filled with quips and a sense of humour, good food, good wine and good friends. | |
